Error 101: App Cannot Detect Tool

Your ONE-KEY™ tool is not appearing in the "Nearby Devices" list, even when the tool is powered on and within range.

1) Verify your tool has the ONE-KEY™ logo badge on the battery bay

2) Enable Bluetooth® and Location Services in your device settings

3) Ensure your tool is powered on and has sufficient battery charge

4) Move within 10 feet of the tool and wait 30 seconds

5) Force close and restart the ONE-KEY™ app

6) Try removing and reinstalling the battery from your tool

7) Check for app updates in your device's app store

8) If still failing, perform a tool firmware update via the app

Bluetooth® Connection Keeps Dropping

Your tool connects briefly but then disconnects immediately, preventing you from accessing tool settings.

1) Clear Bluetooth® cache: Settings > Apps > Bluetooth® > Storage > Clear Cache

2) Remove tool from paired devices and re-pair

3) Disable battery optimization for ONE-KEY™ app

4) Ensure no other devices are trying to connect to the tool

5) Check for interference from other Bluetooth® devices

6) Update your device's operating system

7) Perform a network settings reset on your device

iOS Location Services Issue

After iOS updates, the app loses tracking functionality and cannot maintain tool connections properly.

1) Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services

2) Find Milwaukee ONE-KEY™ and set to "Always Allow"

3) Enable "Precise Location" toggle

4) Grant Bluetooth® permissions when prompted

5) Restart the app and re-test tool detection

Cannot Pair - Incorrect PIN/Passkey

Pairing fails with PIN error.

1) Long-press pairing

2) Forget device 

3) Re-pair device

CONNECT-004: Tool Won't Connect - Stays in 'Connecting' State

ONE-KEY™ app shows 'Connecting...' indefinitely.

1) Force close the ONE-KEY™ app.

2) Toggle Bluetooth® off/on.

3) Power cycle tool.

4) Ensure tool battery is charged

Keep phone within 3 - 9 meters and remove other Bluetooth® devices

 

Bluetooth® Disconnects After ESD / Tool Reset Needed

ONE-KEY™ tools disconnect and won't reconnect.

1) Remove battery from tool.

2) Wait 10 - 30 seconds.

3) Reinsert battery.

4) Reconnect in app.

COIN-001: Coin Cell Battery Dead - Tool Tracking Silently Stops

The ONE-KEY™ module stops broadcasting to the tracking network when the embedded coin cell battery dies. No error or alert is shown — tracking simply goes dark.

1) Open Inventory, tap the tool, and check the coin cell battery status (Great / Good / Fair / Poor / Dead).

2) Replace the CR2032 battery before the status reaches 'Dead' - do not wait for tracking to fail.

3) Locate the coin cell module behind two Philips screws at the battery bay.

4) Carefully remove the module, swap the CR2032 battery, and reinsert.

5) Reconnect the tool in the ONE-KEY™ app to confirm tracking has resumed.
