Eliminating on-site exhaust emissions
Zero emissions refers to eliminating exhaust fumes produced during tool operation on the job site. This is separate from the overall carbon footprint, which includes manufacturing and energy generation.
Removing exhaust fumes directly improves working conditions – especially in enclosed, underground or poorly ventilated environments. This means safer, more productive users, and fewer fumes reaching the atmosphere.
Common sources of job site emissions
Petrol-powered tools and generators are the primary sources. They release fumes, require fuel handling and increase fire and spill risks. Fuel-intensive equipment such as Lawn Mowers, Blowers, Plate Compactors and Chainsaws produce more emissions than smaller, handheld Power Tools. Besides emissions, fuel storage also adds logistical and compliance challenges that many sites can no longer justify.
Why zero-emissions sites are increasing
With national and global sustainability targets in mind, the demand for zero-emissions construction sites and equipment will only increase. Clients and regulators across Europe are setting stricter environmental requirements, making petrol-powered solutions less viable.
